How to Play

1. Get in a lobby

Log in, register, or jump in as a guest. Then either Create a Lobby (choosing a difficulty, max players, and whether it's public or private) or Join a Lobby using a 5-character code or the public lobby browser.

2. Ready up

Everyone in the lobby marks themselves Ready. The host can kick players, transfer host, or close the lobby at any time before starting.

3. Race!

Once the host clicks Start, a 10-second countdown begins. Every player receives the exact same puzzle. Fill in the grid using the number pad or your keyboard - candidate notes are available if you want to track possibilities before committing to a digit.

4. Watch your mistakes

You get 5 mistakes per race - every wrong digit costs you one. Hit the limit and you're out for that race, but you can stick around to watch everyone else finish.

5. Watch the race live

You can see everyone else's progress percentage, and which rows/columns/boxes they've completed - but never their actual numbers. Watch the mini board silhouettes fill in as the race unfolds.

6. Kudos

+1 Kudos - first player to complete any row
+1 Kudos - first player to complete any column
+1 Kudos - first player to complete any 3x3 box
+3 / +2 / +1 Kudos - 1st / 2nd / 3rd player to finish the entire puzzle

Only the very first player to hit each milestone earns the bonus - being a close second earns nothing for that particular row/column/box.

7. Climb the leaderboard

Registered players' Kudos, wins, games played, average finish position, and fastest solve time are tracked permanently on the Leaderboard. Guests can play and earn Kudos within a session, but their stats aren't kept permanently.
